PRR 1223, D-16SB, 1963
SRC-1963. Here is an original photo that I took in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, on 11 August 1963. Shown here is ex-Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1223, a D-16SB (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata as a D-16B in January of 1905, later rebuilt as a D-16SB, sold to the Strasburg Rail Road in October of 1960, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. In this context, it's on static display near the Strasburg Station. Builder's Badge Data: Juniata Shops, D-16sb, 11-1905, 1399.
