"Gotcha" I said as I got out of my car to snap photos of this stopped eastbound freight on the Wayzata Subdivision. The crew was waiting, as usual, for clearance into Minneapolis. The shot I took using the flash setting turned out to be best, hence the funky glow on the sign and the nose of the KCS unit. |

| Description: |
Normally with these "out and back" series, I chase a train away from home, then another back. This day was a little different. After chasing the first grain train south, I didnt have anything to follow back. The light was getting low, and prospects were fading quickly. Then, as I came around a curve south of Watts, there was a headlight. It turned out to be this southbound, which I followed the short distance to Westville. |

I was outside working in the yard when I heard a horn, this one coming from a train working up the grade from Watts. I took off, hoping to get a few shots in the fading light. There was enough left to get to Gravette, and it started here at Tahlequah St in Siloam, an ET 44 leading the 54 stack platforms, 10 articulated auto racks, and 7 standard racks of the 181. I was glad to see the ET 44, the second time in a week, since they don't seem to show up here often. |

I went on to Gravette, hoping there would be enough light to get him at Dallas St, but that was already getting into shadow, so I was able to get him a little closer to downtown, just barely. Time to head home. Id see the 261 near Decatur, but the light was far enough gone by then that there wasnt s good shot. |
